The project of graffiti photography fits smo othly into the web of my interests and skills. I decided to self-publish a book after a year of collecting images of graffiti in Vilnius. The book is a mix of street art and street life photography. It is also a glimpse into parts of the city you don’t usually see in tourist books.

The collection of images was made during one year (between 2016 and 2017) and the photos for the book were selected from a pool of around 4000 images.

This is not a book of quality street photography. It is more a book of urban archaeology. Its aim was to document the ephemeral and chaotic life of street art. That’s why 99% of images in the book are smartphone photos, as this gadget is a much better tool to capture the dynamic life of graffiti than the professional camera.
